Bill Browning

Head of English at The Kings School, Canterbury.

Bill runs the English department at The Kings School. He is an officer in the Marlowe Society. He thinks Marlowe as Shakespeare is nonsense.

Jonathan Bate

He is King Alfred Professor of English Literature at the University of Liverpool, and author of The Genius of Shakespeare (Picador).

Mark Rylance

Artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

As well as being Artistic Director, Mark has had leading roles in many Globe productions. He also plays in feature films.

Calvin Hoffman

American writer who began the interest in Marlowe as possibly the hidden hand behind Shakespeare. His book, The Man who was Shakespeare, was first published in London by Max Parrish in 1995. Published also in the US by Grosset and Dunlap 1960.

Peter Farey

Retired Management development consultant, has an excellent web site on Marlowe.

Dr. Daniela Ferrari

Dr. Daniela Ferrari is the director of the state Archives of Mantua, Northern Italy. Mantua is of course the town to which Romeo fled in Romeo and Juliet. In the late 16th century, the noble Gonzaga family gave haven in Mantua to exiles on the run. Some people think Christopher Marlowe took refuge there.
